Linthouse Housing Association Limited (LHA) was established in 1975 and was one of the first Community Controlled Housing Associations (CCHAs) in Glasgow to harness the energy of local people to improve their inner-city neighbourhood. Some strong and committed local people recognised and used the opportunity presented by the new powers conferred on the Housing Corporation in Scotland (CIS) by the Housing Act 1974. This Act enabled community activists to establish community-controlled organisations like LHA to secure grant funding to acquire tenement flats and deliver repairs and refurbishment schemes.
Almost 50 years on from that first group of locals LHA continues to deliver high quality and cost-effective housing services designed to meet the needs of existing and future customers. Creating and sustaining lasting, unique, vibrant homes in stable, popular, and ambitious urban communities.
At Linthouse HA we are proud to be accredited as a Glasgow Living Wage employer and to have a Fair Work First/EVH Fair Work First statement in place, recognising the value of and supporting our employees.
We are committed to equal opportunities and we strive to provide equal treatment and the same opportunities to everyone. We are recognised as a Disability Confident employer and we expect everyone who works for us and with us to support us in this.
